Army rolls out new operational camo pattern uniforms - Stars and Stripes

He is an owner of a retail store in Palestine and is a member of the Citizens on Patrol. Herrington feels the city has gotten off track with the way some of the operations are handled. He stated that good things are happening with the local economy that the city needs to capitalize on. He plans to implement sound, well-reasoned policies and procedures that will make the city government operate as fairly and efficiently as possible. Some of the issues Thomas wants to focus on are aging infrastructure, public safety issues, and increasing the tax base. He added that new construction is abound in the city to increase the tax base, and tourism to the city is on the upswing, resulting in the increase of sales tax revenues. Herrington says that employee morale, zoning, development code, infrastructure and budget are a few issues. That is going to require money to hire a competent consultant to work with our planning and zoning commission, business owners, residents, contractors and developers in putting together a new code, Herrington said. “Local government codes should be a reflection of the needs and the character of the people who live and work in Palestine, and that means the budget is going to have to allow for necessary spending to make positive changes in the way we do...
