Konkret wird Nissan auf der Internationalen Automobil-Ausstellung in Frankfurt (ab 17. September) den neuen NP300 Navara (Diashow oben) erstmals in Europa präsentieren. Die nunmehr zwölfte Modellgeneration ist wieder in der boomenden Klasse der der Ein-Tonnen-Pick-ups angesiedelt. Am einfachsten ist sie am Nissan-typischen „V" im Kühlergrill und am Bumerang-förmigen LED-Tagfahrlicht erkennbar. (Sicherheits-)Technisch legt der neue Navara die Messlatte wirklich ziemlich hoch. Die Anhängelast wurde ausgebaut und die Ladefläche verlängert. Obwohl der Pick-up nach wie vor eher auf der rustikalen Seite angesiedelt ist und auf Wunsch auch im harten Gelände eine gute Figur macht, soll er sich nun auch auf befestigten Straßen kultiviert benehmen. Nissan hat für das Modell mit Double Cab (Doppelkabine) nämlich eine völlig neue Multilink-Hinterradaufhängung entwickelt. Sie soll Fahrkomfort und Handling verbessern und ist zugleich 20 Kilogramm leichter als die bisherige Starrachse mit Blattfedern.
