Kidnapping suspect returned to Alice - Alice Echo-News Journal

Alice police officers issued an Amber Alert for Nicolas Gomez after his mother, Nelda Baker reported Galbraith had taken the child after an argument on Wednesday evening. The suspect was arrested on the 3700 block of Staples Street in Corpus Christi at a Family Dollar Store after the alert was issued by Alice Police Department. Galbraith was arrested on a warrant for kidnapping the child. The mother told officers Galbraith had been her boyfriend and acquaintance the last three or four years. Galbraith was found driving a 2009 white, four-door Dodge Avenger. According to CCPD's report, at 12:08 p. m. , an employee at a local business on the 4000 block of Weber Road called CCPD to report she had seen the (Dodge Avenger) in the parking lot. Officers arrived at the scene Thursday just as the vehicle was exiting the parking lot. They stopped the car and took Galbraith into custody in the parking lot of Fire Station 7. When a manufacturer gives one of its models a facelift, perhaps a little rhinoplasty, and maybe a few fillers, the end result is expected to last for several years, with only a few adjustments to keep up with market trends. It would seem, then, that Chevrolet picked the wrong surgeon for its Silverado truck. A mere two years after launching it as an all new 2014 model, Chevy’s designers have been forced to debut the 2016 Chevrolet — and, mercifully, it seems they’ve finally managed to correct whatever went wrong the first time. Indeed, Chevy’s full-size truck was simple, muscular, and intended to offer looks as brutish as the tasks its makers assumed it would be used to accomplish. Read any article on the Silverado and you’ll find people moaning about its looks in the comments sections.
