1963 Ford F-100 Pickup - First Truck, Hot Truck! - Mustangs and Fords Magazine

Scott Winter from Germantown, New York, is the owner of this '63 Ford F-100 unibody and an artist by nature, owning his own textile, screen-printing, and embroidery business. Although he has been a lifelong automotive enthusiast, this is his first truck and as you can see, the vintage Blue Oval is anything but your average starter vehicle. Granddad bought it new in 1963 as a work truck for his apple farm. Scott drove the truck as a kid and had fond memories of cruising through the orchards. When his grandfather passed away, the farm and the truck became his. At the time, Scott had no use for the truck and sold it, but he had second thoughts and bought it back almost 20 years later. Rust had taken its toll, but it was still the perfect choice for Scott's plan to build a Pro Street truck. With some loosely defined plans that included a big-block, Pro Street chassis, and a series of body mods, work got underway with sheetmetal repairs that made the truck solid once more. Yamaha XV950 Playa del Rey by Matt Black Is a Neo-Retro Jewel - Video, Photo ... - autoevolution

The XV950 is a bike with cool looks and that's ready for almost any type of customization. Matt Black Custom Designs have been asked by Yamaha to take part in the Yard Build movement and deliver their own vision on how the XV950 could look. Old-school racers have been the main source of inspiration for the bike that was baptized Playa del Rey. Since customization is XV950's middle name, Matt Black created the aftermarket bits and pieces as a part of a wide range of custom items that can be bolt on to the bike. They came up with a 21" front rim, but also offer the standard-sized one in the same style. A new rear pulley with cush drive system was designed, alongside Lexan see-through cam gear cover, left side crankcase cover and right side generator cover. CNC machines also delivered the small right side cover and front pulley cover while a Crime Scene Choppers air filter cover can now be equipped on the XV950 thanks to a custom adapter. Hand-hammered parts are part of the Plata del Ray game. Matt Black created and crafted the sweet fuel tank, complemented by side panels and fenders. Source: www.autoevolution.com

After the 2012 model year, the United States was deprived of the Ford Ranger compact truck. Truth be told, the full-size pickup market in the United States is dominated by the Ford F-150. For more than 30 years now, the F-Series range is leading the segment, with the Ram, Chevy Silverado and Toyota Tundra always behind in terms of sales. A considerable percentage of people in the market for a pickup truck don't need a full-size model, that's not as frugal on fuel or as easy to park as a compact. In this regard, Ford expected this type of customer to reorientate to the bigger F-150, which aids with the ever-important market share. "We could sell a compact truck that's more like the size of the old Ranger". Ford marketing manager Doug Scott told USA Today that "we're looking at it. We think we could sell a compact truck that's more like the size of the old Ranger, that gets six or eight more miles per gallon, is $5,000 or $6,000 less, and that we...
