The York County man who was drunk and speeding when he crashed his Chevrolet Camaro into a tree was sentenced on Wednesday for the crash that killed his brother. Hartless , 49, was sentenced to 8½ to 17 years in state prison for the crash that killed Timothy A. Hartless, 51, on Dec. Hartless had pleaded guilty to charges of homicide by vehicle while DUI, homicide by vehicle, DUI, reckless driving, accidents involving damage to an attended vehicle, and three counts of recklessly endangering another person. Police were first called to the 2500 block of South George Street in York Township around 6:11 p. m. on the day of the incident after receiving reports of a black 1988 Chevrolet Camaro hitting a Pontiac Sunfire and fleeing the scene. But within two minutes, police were called to another crash in the 200 block of Reynolds Mill Road, where they found that the black Camaro had gone off the road and hit a tree. The Ajax racer who competes full-time in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series recently announced he will drive Rick Ware Racing's #15 Chevrolet Camaro in the Virginia 529 College Savings 250 on September 11. "This is the opportunity of a lifetime,"... McColm is the General Manager and one of the drivers for Canada's Best Racing Team (CBRT). They formed the team from the ground up, and in less than two years the group has competed in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series as well as the Trans-Am Series in the United States. Through connections made working with various drivers and series McColm got a phone call he never would have expected. "One of my competitors in the Canadian Tire Series actually helped me connect with Rick Ware," said McColm. "DJ Kennington is a champion in our series, and he has experience in the Xfinity Series as well. The opportunity for McColm to compete on such a big stage is a huge accomplishment for the young racer and for CBRT as a whole.
