Indianapolis, IN—Three-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Tony Stewart has come to an agreement with now former series owner Guy Webb to become the sole owner of the All-Star Circuit of Championship Sprint Car Series. Stewart, owner of Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio, and Tony Stewart Racing, which fields two Sprint Cars for the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series, plans to take the ASCoC to a new level of success. Prior to the purchase of the All Star Circuit of Champions, Stewart reached a separate agreement with Rob Hunter and Shane Helms, promoters of the Renegade Sprint Series. The agreement will bring together both series to form the UNOH All-Star Circuit of Champions with a 50-race schedule for 2015. The UNOH All-Star Circuit of Champions will be a combination effort between sanctioning bodies, existing speedways, and... Oregon, WI—Gregg McKarns, new owner of the ARCA Midwest Tour, has announced that he will also be the new owner of Madison International Speedway in Oregon, Wisconsin. The half-mile oval opened in 1969 when Sam Bartus built the facility and ran it until selling the track to Fred Nielsen in 1980. Bob and Tony Zider bought the track in 1983 and made improvements with concrete grandstands and a backstretch score... • Alejandro Soriano-Segura, 19, of Atlanta, Georgia, was charged with misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and summary disorderly conduct on Garland Drive and South Hanover Street on Dec. Police responded to a disabled vehicle and found damage to the abandoned vehicle. Police said officers hear Soriano-Segura yelling loudly from the Home Depot parking lot, and said he was delusional, excited and paranoid and was arrested. Silver Spring Township Police (697-0607). • Jacob A. Davis, 27, of York Haven, was charged with misdemeanor DUI and DUI highest rate at Sheetz, 6558 Carlisle Pike, Silver Spring Township, on Dec. Police said Davis was seen in the store, got into a vehicle and left. The vehicle was pulled over, and he was found driving under the influence, police said. West Shore Regional Police (737-8734). • Thomas D. Scott Jr. , 24, of Lemoyne, was charged with misdemeanor simple assault in the 200 block of Walnut Street, Lemoyne, at 7:33 a. m. Dec. 20 with misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving without a license and driving without inspection after an incident in Lemoyne on Nov. Sinkhole-Swallowed 1 Millionth Corvette Ready For Restoration - Top Speed

In fact, this car, the 1 millionth Corvette built, has one of the most extraordinary stories of any of its peers. Almost a year and a half ago, the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY, suffered a dramatic and unexpected catastrophe when a sinkhole opened up inside the museum and swallowed eight of the Corvettes on exhibit. The recovery of the cars was headline news for car guys for months afterward. All eight cars were eventually rescued from the hole in the ground, in varying states of distress, and the museum and Chevrolet announced plans to restore the three most salvageable cars. The white 1 millionth Corvette first of the auto show dream cars. The Design Center’s iconic Dome has also been used as the staging area to approve the final design of nearly every GM product since the 1970s. The task of reassembling the 1 millionth Corvette is being taken just as seriously, though. Early critics wondered if replacing all of the damaged parts on the crushed car would render it just another 1992 Corvette, so efforts are being made to salvage everything. Why it matters The entire operation has been a heartwarming show of solidarity for the museum, from Corvette fans and non-fans alike.
