The Jaguar XJ220 inevitably comes to mind when someone mentions a Jaguar supercar, but there were a couple of other machines produced in the 1980s and 1990s that were capable of 200 mph speeds and boasted a horsepower output north of 400 hp. Lister is a name familiar to racing fans all over the world, though few recall that in the late 1980s the company teamed up with BLE Automotive and WP Automotive to tune the XJS, which was already getting a bit long in the tooth, into something... Some 90 XJS models would be tuned by Lister and its partners starting in 1986, with the cars being sold as Lister-Jaguars. The Lister-Jaguar XJS 7. 0 Le Mans coupes produced 604 hp and were reportedly capable of topping 200 mph. This particular example started out life as a 1990 XJS V12 coupe, but then received a factory 6. 0-liter Mk III specification upgrade in March of 1992. The car would be upgraded again to 7. 0-liter Le Mans specification sometime thereafter at... Jaguar introduced an all-new and exciting style of two door sports coupe in 1975 and it caught the eye of lots of new fans. The 60’s were very good to the Jaguar brand and it brought us some of the most iconic cars ever built. Most Jaguar enthusiast were puzzled by the XJ badge and thought that after the Iconic E-Type, they would introduce the F-Type. The XJS line was built from 1975 to 1996 and it replaced the XKE lineup (known as the E-Type) and was built to be more sleek and aerodynamic than the E-Type coupes. The XJ line also utilized the Jaguar independent rear suspension that had worked so well in the E-Type. In 1986 a full convertible was offered by most dealers but it was a modified version built by Hess and Eisenhardt coachbuilders from Ohio, USA, however, in 1988 the first official all Jaguar built XJS was debuted at the Geneva Auto Show as an 1989...
