Despite a deal between Lotus and the French manufacturer appearing to be a formality, a rival team boss has claimed he has held discussions with Renault about a potential takeover. We have had a very, very difficult season. This is the worst season we have had financially and we have scrimped and scraped for parts and to get the cars on the track is a massive effort each week. Buying A Used 2000-2006 Honda Insight Hybrid: The Guide - Green Car Reports

If you've been reading Green Car Reports over the past week, you might have seen we recently bought a 2001 Honda Insigh t--an example of one of the first hybrids sold by a major automaker. But what if you want to buy your own early Insight. And more importantly, should you buy one over a 2001-2003 Toyota Prius--the other, and considerably more successful hybrid that subsequently started the craze. Arguably, one of the trickiest aspects of buying a first-generation Honda Insight is finding one in the first place. Honda sold little over 17,000 units worldwide between Japanese sales starting in 1999 and production stopping in 2006. On a global scale, that's pretty rare. The downside is that it might not be anywhere near you--you may need to travel quite a distance for a good Insight. If you've managed to find an Insight, the next thing you need to know is what sort of general condition it's in. Many Insights will have covered over 100,000 miles by this point, and more than a few have done double that. Those that haven't yet broken into six-figure mileages will typically cost a bit more, but the important thing to note is that condition is much more important than mileage. Dealers to share insight into tracking buyers through the digital customer journey - AM-online

Cambria Automobiles, Swansway Group and Marketing Delivery will all provide their tips for keeping in touch with customers that switch across multiple communication channels during the car buying process at this year’s AM Digital Dealer Conference. Marketing Delivery managing director Jeremy Evans says consumers retain a strong preference for communications via email and SMS with mobile more often the device of choice. Evans will be joined by two of his clients – Ian Godbold, marketing director at Cambria Automobiles, and Anna Ling, marketing manager at Swansway Group. Together with Marketing Delivery, Ling has been mining the group’s data to create a highly targeted and successful digital strategy. Godbold has undertaken a focused approach on re-engaging apparent lost sales as well as measuring how consumers are interacting with the website and understanding the customer journeys which are being undertaken. Evans said: “By focusing on people who were considered as not interested or who told sales executives they had purchased elsewhere, one of the Audi dealerships, which piloted the Car Alerts campaign has sold an additional 10 cars a month.
