DAWSON CREEK – According to a Dawson Creek RCMP press release, on Tuesday August 18 a distinctively bright yellow Ford F350 was stolen from the 1900 block of 93rd Avenue in Dawson Creek. The tool box contained a number of power tools. STOLEN VEHICLE -- A white 2006 Ford F350 Dually was stolen at Hi Tech Car Audio. SHOPLIFTER -- A San Pablo man, 35, was detained at 4:15 p. m. by workers at Safeway after he allegedly exited the store with $329 worth of merchandise. STOLEN VEHICLE -- A 1995 black two-door 1995 Acura Integra was stolen overnight from the 5900 block of San Diego Street. SHOPLIFTER -- A San Pablo man, 18, was detained at 7 p. m. by loss prevention agents at Safeway for allegedly stealing merchandise. THEFT -- The T-Mobile store reported the theft of a Bluetooth earpiece at 7:30 p. m. The suspect was described as a white male in his 40s, 5-foot-10, 175 pounds with a goatee, wearing a black 49er jacket and bluejeans. LOADED FIREARM -- During police saturation patrols at El Cerrito Plaza BART in response to a robbery and shooting the week before, an officer at 8:20 p. m. noticed a trio that matched the description of the suspects. Two fled, one of them running through several stores at El Cerrito Plaza before the Richmond youth, 16, was detained. DOMESTIC BATTERY -- Officers investigating a 12:20 a. m. call in the 11700 block of San Pablo Avenue determined that an El Cerrito woman, 27, battered her cohabitant, scratching his face and arms with her house key and chasing him with a wrench. Police Searching for West Kelowna Gas Thieves - KelownaNow

The first incident took place in the early hours of the morning on August 10th when a grey or tan Ford F350 backed into a gate at the Brenda Mine site, causing significant damage to the automated gate and to the truck’s tailgate. Using a black tidy-tank, the thief or thieves stole approximately 1,000 litres of diesel and 150 litres of gasoline. The men pried open the panels of the diesel generator and managed to steal around 300 litres of diesel fuel and two batteries. Police are asking anyone with information regarding these crimes to come forward by calling the Crime Stoppers’ anonymous tips line at 1-800-222-TIPS. Source: www.kelownanow.com
