LDWF: No plans to increase daily red snapper limit for remainder of state season - Louisiana Sportsman

--> With the closing on Wednesday of the 10-day federal recreational red snapper season in the Gulf of Mexico, the state currently has no plans to increase the daily snapper limit in Louisiana waters, according to the head of fisheries. Randy Pausina, with the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, said the ongoing real-time harvest tracking through the LA Creel program indicates the current two-fish limit will probably extend the state season into December and come very... “But I don’t think that’s going to happen, and I think it’s less confusing to leave it at two fish and fish the season out. A news release from LDWF last week showed NOAA Fisheries data indicated only 3. 8 million pounds of snapper were harvested by recreational anglers in the Gulf in 2014, 28 percent below the recreational quota of 5. 39 million pounds. “That’s because they just have to be so conservative and they’re so scared because their program isn’t designed for real time counts for a recreational fishery with a quota, and they have to be ultra-conservative for fear of over-harvesting,”... “We’re going to do it right, and we’re not going to harvest more than we need to. ”. Dancing Mastodon: The 2015 Ford Expedition EL [First Impression] - The Fast Lane

We first drove the 2015 Ford Expedition EL about a year ago during a Ford press event. A majority of that positive buzz came from its new 365 horsepower, 3. 5L EcoBoost V6 that makes 420 lbs-feet of torque. That power is harnessed via a six-speed automatic transmission that, like the EcoBoost V6, many Ford F-150 owners will be familiar with. The “EL” is the largest version of the Expedition. Wheelbase: 131-inches, about a foot longer than the regular version Length: 206-inches, 14. 8-inches longer than the regular model Height: 77. 7-inches Minimum ground clearance: 8. 3-inches The 2015 Ford Expedition EL 4X4 can tow 9,100 lbs. If you get the 2WD version OR the shorter Expedition, you can tow up to 9,200 lbs. Unfortunately, the EcoBoost does not help economy with a 14 mpg city, 20 mpg highway and 16 mpg combined, it is not that frugal. only the Chevrolet Suburban can match the 2015 Ford Expedition EL for this much room. Ford comes up short with the interior’s design and feel. This is a leftover design component that was notable on the previous Ford F-150 as well.
