July 29--There's still no sign of a utility trailer stolen this past Saturday morning from the East Bernstadt Fire Department. The trailer was used by the volunteer department to tow lifesaving equipment to fires, accident scenes and other emergencies when seconds count. When firefighters needed it, the trailer was gone. We got the video surveillance on the truck that stole the trailer, and we have a good description of the truck. I'd say that person who took the trailer got it around 1 a. m. , but I'm assuming that by 1 p. m. the next day, it was cut up. The likelihood of us getting that trailer back's probably slim to none," he said during a phone interview Tuesday... We were going to take our Ranger that we have and put it out on our utility trailer, and discovered it was gone. When we got back to the station after the call, we started going back to the footage, and that's when we discovered around 1 a. m. that the pickup came around the yard, and stole the trailer," said Votolato. The utility trailer was parked at the fire station when surveillance photos from the scene of the theft showed a suspect vehicle leaving with the trailer. EAST BERNSTADT, Ky. (WTVQ) – A utility trailer was stolen from the East Bernstadt Volunteer Fire Department Sunday morning, the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office says. According to the sheriff’s office, the trailer was parked at the East Bernstadt Fire Department station early Saturday morning when a white pickup truck was seen leaving the parking lot with the trailer. The sheriff’s office says the pickup truck is described as possibly a white Chevrolet 3500 extended cab flatbed model between 1999 and the mid-2000's year model. The fire department’s trailer is described as a red utility trailer, 6' x 16', and has a fold down gate with the East Bernstadt Fire Department logo sticker attached. Source: www.wtvq.com

If you drive a 1999- 2010 Ford F-250 , F-350, F-450 Super Duty pickup, F-550 diesel cab and chassis, diesel E-Series van, or Class C motorhome, you should know about an issue that can affect the fuel tanks. The first thing to go is the fuel filter, either in the tank -- which is hard to get to -- or the main filter. In the process, the fuel lines may be contaminated, and in worst-case scenarios, you could be looking at a clogged fuel pump or even injectors. According to a report from Reuters, Ford has been sued in a New Jersey federal court for allegedly selling F-Series pickup trucks and E-Series vans with defective fuel tank linings. The suit states that Ford knew about the problem and continued to sell affected vehicles over a 10-year period. It said the problem clogs fuel systems with debris and rust, causing a sudden loss of engine power and potentially causing vehicles to buck or kick or suddenly stall. The complaint further stated that “Ford in 2007 issued a ‘secret’ technical service bulletin to dealers advising them of the problem, but neither recalled the affected trucks nor offered to repair them for free. (There is no way to look inside the tank without removing it. ) You can replace the tank with another Ford tank at a cost of $1211-$2420 (ouch) and somewhere between $200 and.
