We remember seeing this simple yet effective—and different—truck for the first time at the... The bed looks like it has parts from an early Bronco grafted to the sides, but those bedsides are just the factory parts chopped down and trimmed to clear older 35-inch BFGs. Kris Foresee, a machinist from Frasier Park, California, has built one unique Ford. The thing works pretty well too, with flexy suspension that helps the vintage sheetmetal up and over the notches and rocks in front of the truck. This truck is not a polished show rig with tons of shop time, custom fab, and expensive parts to drool over. It is simple and effective, built of parts that make sense without adding too many gadgets, frivolous parts, or weight. This yields a truck that is well used, reliable, and well loved. What the truck also has is an engine that does what it needs to, a dead simple granny-geared transmission, axles that are just right for the tire size, two spares (used, with some life left in them), and good suspension. Ford F100 Supernationals - Wilson Post

The Ford F100 Supernationals will be at the James E. Ward Agricultural Center through Saturday afternoon. The event was previously held in Pigeon Forge, however, Cobble hopes to host the event in Lebanon for several years to come. Doors will open at 8 a. m. on Friday and close at 6 p. m. On Saturday, doors will open at 8 a. m. and awards will be presented at 4 p. m. For more information, go to f100supernationals. The Wilson County Antique Power Association will also host their 24th annual show at the fairgrounds this Saturday. This event will feature antique tractors, antique trucks, gas engine, antique equipment, sawmilling and blacksmithing in Fiddlers Grove. Gates open at 8 a. m. Car lovers brought their vehicles to display while helping raise money for the Burger-Baylor Center for Autistic Students. The show annually features original, classic, custom and restored cars, street rods, street machines, sports and motorcycles, vying for awards in a variety of categories. Assorted clowns were also there like Smiggins, played by Burger-Baylor teaching assistant Sherry Chrysler. In 2000, a small group of parents had an idea to hold a custom car show to raise money for the Burger Center for Students with Autism. Last year, the show raised about $13,000. It’s anticipated that this year’s event will raise close to that figure. The autistic program relies a lot on its own funding for special programs.
