Sedan occupants flee after vehicle is wedged under UPS truck - Sacramento Bee
The California Highway Patrol is searching for the occupants of a vehicle that became lodged beneath a UPS truck on the Yolo Causeway early Friday, but were picked up by another vehicle before law enforcement officers arrived. Brent Shultz of the CHP said the collision occurred about 2:45 a. m. when a silver Infiniti G35 going westbound on Interstate 80, east of County Road 32A, rear-ended a UPS truck and became wedged beneath it. Although the collision resulted in considerable intrusion of the truck into the car’s passenger compartment, the occupants of the Infiniti were able to get out and jumped into a second vehicle, a Mercedes, which appeared to have been following the... Shultz said CHP dispatchers made contact with a man who said he was the grandson of the Infiniti’s owners.
