22--EFFINGHAM -- Two former employees of Effingham City-County Ambulance have been indicted by an Effingham County grand jury in connection with the theft of a credit card from a patient -- and its subsequent use. , 33, and Jessica L. Arms, 27, both of Hoopeston, were indicted on one count each of unlawful possession of a credit card, a Class 4 felony. The couple is accused of using a credit card allegedly stolen from an ambulance patient to obtain food, gasoline and other items between July 29 and Aug. Kibler said the evidence shows that High was working as an EMT when he went on a run in which the victim was taken to the hospital. He added that after the victim was released, she discovered that a number of items were missing from her purse -- and noticed a credit card was being used. Kibler added that police were able to view surveillance video that showed a woman making multiple transactions on the stolen card, sometimes in the company of a man. He said High eventually confessed to stealing the card during the ambulance run. Effingham City-County Ambulance owner Terry White said neither High nor Arms was still employed by the company. "They were probationary employees who didn't make it through their probationary period," he said. Source: www.firehouse.com

Mobile Tucson boutique expects to go places - Arizona Daily Star

Sugar Skull Design started with a $350 clutch — one that owner Gabriela Fleming reeaaaaally wanted. The graphic and Web designer was wandering around downtown Austin, Texas, on a break from a conference for young advertising professionals, when her friend pointed out the amazing little purse. “It had skulls on it, and she said, ‘It’s so you,’” recalls Fleming, a 27-year-old Tucsonan. Necessity, you see, is more than just the mother of invention — she’s also spawned some pretty cool accessories. Three years after Sugar Skull Design officially launched, Fleming has done well enough to quit her day job. She splits her time working as a freelance graphic and Web designer and running her Etsy shop full of colorful creations, inspired by a mashup of pinup and rockabilly, Mexican cultural traditions and pop culture. Prices start at under $10 for earrings and keychains and tote bags can run up to $100, while clutches cost $25 to $60. Sales have been going so well that later this month, Fleming’s Etsy shop is going mobile. He can easily tick off a whole number of them just in the muscle-car category: “Any Mustang or any Corvette will be part of the list. Those are probably the two peak American cars.
