CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The longtime Cleveland police officer injured in Thursday's deadly police pursuit in the Tremont neighborhood remains in serious condition as of Friday morning. Second District vice detective Kevin Fairchild underwent surgery at MetroHealth Medical Center Thursday night for a collapsed lung, broken ribs and a broken leg, Cleveland Police Patrolmen's Association President Steve Loomis said in a statement.
