Toyota introduces global market Fortuner SUV - LeftLane News

The Fortuner features the same rugged body-on-frame construction as the new Hilux pickup that was unveiled last spring. It stretches 188 inches long, 72 inches wide and 72 inches tall, dimensions that make it slightly shorter and narrower than a 4Runner , and it can tackle the Australian outback with ease thanks to off-road tires and over eight-inches of ground... Photos of the interior are not available, but it's safe to assume the SUV shares at least a handful of components with the Hilux on which it is based. A six-speed manual transmission sends power to all four wheels via a part-time four-wheel drive system, and a six-speed automatic is available at an extra cost. The new Toyota Fortuner will go on sale in Australia, in Thailand in a handful of other global markets before the end of the year. Source: www.leftlanenews.com
