Pedestrian in St. Catharines collision dies of injuries - Niagarathisweek.com
CATHARINES – A 33-year-old St. Catharines man who was sent to the hospital with critical injuries after a collision in the north end of the city last week has died of his injuries. On Tuesday, July 28 at around 5:15 p. m. , emergency responders were called to Lakeshore Road west of Geneva Street for a collision. The initial investigation revealed the pedestrian was trying to cross from the north side of Lakeshore Road about 50 metres west of the intersection. At the same time, a 42-year-old St. Catharines man was driving west on Lakeshore in his 2009 Ford F250. As the pedestrian stepped onto the road he came into the path of the truck. The pedestrian was initially taken to the St. Catharines hospital with unknown injuries. On Friday, July 31, police were contacted by the Regional Coroner's Office and advised the pedestrian had succumbed to his injuries. Source: www.niagarathisweek.com
