Update: Horse killed in overturned trailer on I-57 - The Southern

UPDATE, 5:30 p. m. BENTON – A horse was killed Saturday after the trailer it was in rolled over on the median of Interstate 57 just south of Benton, Illinois State Police said. No drivers or passengers, including children, were hurt in the two-vehicle wreck, police said. The wreck occurred in the northbound lane of the highway, closing both lanes for about 30 minutes and causing traffic to back up significantly, police said. Joshua Reagor, 39, of Karnak, was driving a 2009 Ford F250 pickup truck pulling the horse trailer. Passengers included Tiffany Reagor, 38, of Karnak and two children, ages 14 and 9. The second vehicle, a 2014 Jeep Cherokee was driven by Wayne Foy, 46, of Streamwood. His passengers were Traci Pride-Foy, 44, of Streamwood, and two children, ages 17 and 10. Police said Foy was driving in the left northbound lane and that Reagor was directly behind the Cherokee. Reagor’s vehicle then left the west side of the roadway and drove into the grass median, causing the horse trailer to overturn. Original, 2:15 p. m. BENTON -- An overturned horse trailer Saturday just south of Benton in the northbound lane of Interstate 57 has caused traffic to back up, an Illinois State Police spokesman said. Pedestrian in St. Catharines collision dies of injuries - Niagarathisweek.com

CATHARINES – A 33-year-old St. Catharines man who was sent to the hospital with critical injuries after a collision in the north end of the city last week has died of his injuries. On Tuesday, July 28 at around 5:15 p. m. , emergency responders were called to Lakeshore Road west of Geneva Street for a collision. The initial investigation revealed the pedestrian was trying to cross from the north side of Lakeshore Road about 50 metres west of the intersection. At the same time, a 42-year-old St. Catharines man was driving west on Lakeshore in his 2009 Ford F250. As the pedestrian stepped onto the road he came into the path of the truck. The pedestrian was initially taken to the St. Catharines hospital with unknown injuries. On Friday, July 31, police were contacted by the Regional Coroner's Office and advised the pedestrian had succumbed to his injuries. Source: www.niagarathisweek.com
