State police at Towanda said Brandon Lawrence Alexander, 26, of Granville Summit, used the bank account of Rebecca Mae Louise Bump, 23, of Rome, to make purchases from Dec. Dakota Michael Williams, 18, of Canton, told state police at Towanda that his violin and violin carrying case were stolen sometime between July 19 and July 20 from his residence in Canton Township. According to police, the violin is described as cherry-colored, with some oak, and the violin bow is cherry red in color. Police said the carrying case is made of black fabric, and has a teal blue interior, a heart on the outside of the case, and Williams' name written on top of the case in green paint. Police said the total value of the violin and carrying case is estimated at $350. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at Towanda at (570) 265-2186. Two injured in crash. According to state police, Dominick M. Manuel, 18, of Rome was driving a 2001 Dodge Ram north on Towner Hill Road around 11:45 p. m. on Aug. Police said Manuel lost control of his vehicle on a curve, causing it to travel south into a ditch located on the west side of the road.
