Tyler Police: 176 pounds of marijuana found in truck tool box, two suspects ... - KYTX
TYLER (KYTX) – Two New Mexico men are in custody after officers discover 176 pounds of marijuana hidden inside a truck tool box. The Marijuana was located in their vehicle while staying at the La Quinta Inn, located at 1601 WSW Loop 323. K-9 Officer Steve Black observed the subjects in the parking lot standing next to a Dodge Ram pickup acting suspicious. Upon further investigation a strong odor of Marijuana was detected emitting from the Dodge Ram 3500 pickup truck with New Mexico paper tags that belonged to the two subjects. Upon searching the vehicle for illegal contraband Officer Black located 160 individual packages of Marijuana that weighed 176 pounds in the tool box in the bed of their vehicle. They are identified as 30-year-old Trey Bailey Bissett, of Las Cruces, New Mexico and 23-year-old Shawn C Yelton, of Dona Ana, New Mexico.
