Vai ser maior que a Strada e menor que a Hilux. Ela ficará poscionada entre as picapes pequenas, como Fiat Strada e Volkswagen Saveiro, e as médias, como Toyota Hilux e Chevrolet S10. A ideia é que a Oroch entregue conforto de carro de passeio e versatilidade de utilitário. Além do nome, a picape também vai usar a plataforma do Duster, mas que sofreu várias modificações para se adequar a proposta. Segundo descobrimos, o modelo terá 4,70 metros de comprimento, 1,8 metro de largura e 1,69 metro de altura. Com essas dimensões, a marca promete uma picape com bom espaço interno para ocupantes e compartimento de carga generoso. A caçamba medirá 1,35 metro, poderá levar até 683 litros e terá capacidade de carga de 650 kg. Para quem precisar de espacinho na traseira, a Renault também oferecerá um extensor de caçamba, que será vendido como acessório e poderá aumentar seu... Two of Toyota’s most important models have had a dramatic makeover inside and out to keep pace with rivals, and Auto Express was granted privileged access to the British-built Avensis and Auris to get the full story ahead of their summer launch. Both cars are the result of a £150million investment, £20m of which has gone into upgrading Toyota’s Burnaston factory in Derbyshire. Around 75 per cent of Avensis sales are to fleets, so there are two well equipped new special trims, Business Edition and Business Edition Plus. The 110bhp 1. 6 D-4D emits 108g/km of CO. Meanwhile, the new Auris gets refreshed front and rear ends, a nicer cabin with upgraded materials and a smart ‘floating’ eight-inch touchscreen. Perhaps the biggest news is the addition of a new 1. 2-litre four-cylinder petrol turbo to rival the Ford Focus 1. 0 EcoBoost. The 114bhp engine promises 0-62mph in 10. 5 seconds, and claims 60. 1mpg and 109g/km – 7g/km and 1. 3mpg better than the Ford. The Avensis’ new 1. 6 D-4D also joins the Auris range, plus there’s a tweaked 1. 4 D-4D, while the 1. 33 and 1. 6-litre petrols remain. The 2016 Kia Optima comes with the option of a much-discussed a new 1. 6-litre turbocharged engine for the North American market — an engine, we have learned, which will not make it to Australia. The decision to leave out the 1. 6-litre turbo – which is coupled to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission – appears to be due to local positioning and weakening demand in the medium-car segment. Kia Australia’s head of public relations, Kevin Hepworth, confirmed the car’s absence from Australia. “It wouldn’t make sense to put a 1. 6 [litre] that has an equivalency [in terms of relative power and price] with your 2. 4 [litre]. 6-litre turbo has 133kW of power and 264Nm of torque against the 2. 4’s 138kW and 241Nm. In North America, where the Optima is the best selling Kia with over 160,000 units sold in 2014 (compared with 1274 for Australia), the smaller-capacity...
