Isuzu Motors Limited has its headquarters in Japan and is known for their light, medium and heavy commercial vehicles. Isuzu also builds utility vehicles and diesel engines. Isuzu Motors India Private Limited (IMI) is a subsidiary of Isuzu Motors Limited, Japan and came into being in August 2012. Our exclusive spy shot of the Isuzu D-MAX being tested in India. The Isuzu D-MAX is one of the backbones of the company, especially in India. Knowing the importance of the pickup in our country, Isuzu India has launched two new variants of the D-MAX. There is the Isuzu D-MAX Single Cab Flat Deck variant which is now offered with an air-conditioning system. The other new D-MAX added to the existing range is the Cab-Chassis variant. The Isuzu D-MAX Single Cab Flat Deck variant and the Cab-Chassis variant come powered by a 2. 5-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine. According to Isuzu India, the D-MAX is highly suitable for cold-chain applications. Isuzu D-Max X-Runner first drive review - Drive

Now Isuzu has joined the list. The popular Thai manufacturer has released a limited edition derivative of its lightly updated 2015 D-Max ute. Isuzu has offered the X-Runner before, though this time the new model sits atop the range instead of at the midpoint. The obligatory list of cosmetic add-ons are present and correct for a limited edition model, too: garish X-Runner decals that run alongside much the vehicle's 5. 29-metre long body, two colour choices and some cosmetic niceties in the interior... While some elements are new, there are no wholesale changes on the X-Runner that truly elevate it from the regular D-Max. At its heart is a 3. 0-litre four-cylinder turbo diesel that produces 130kW of power and 380Nm of torque (the same engine is used across all Isuzu Ute products). The latter figure is considerably down on class leaders like the 470Nm Ford Ranger, though Isuzu points to the peak torque being reached from a lowly 1800rpm offsetting the outright shortage.
