'Bad Cop No Donut' suspect is a licensed peace officer - KENS 5 TV

SAN ANTONIO -- A fatal hit and run suspect arrested last week wearing a 'Bad Cop No Donut' shirt is a certified Texas peace officer, state records confirmed Thursday. The arrest of 37-year-old Gabriel Ramos drew nationwide attention after he was taken into custody wearing a shirt with the four-word phrase and a picture of a police officer holding a donut. A San Antonio Police Department crash report indicates Ramos may have been traveling as fast as 100 miles per hour when his Chevy Tahoe slammed into Eguia-Rodriguez's vehicle. Records released Thursday by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement indicate Ramos graduated from the Alamo Area Law Enforcement Academy in November 2013. Ramos completed 957 hours of training, in law enforcement courses including Active Shooter... TCOLE records show no history of Ramos working for a law enforcement agency in either a full-time or reserve capacity. Source: www.kens5.com

Wood County Sheriff's Report - KMOO

Deputies Steven Fields and Justin Bowring were dispatched to a residence on CR 2958 for a disturbance between a man and woman. During the course of the call, the woman’s mother called to say her son-in-law had slashed a tire on her car as a result of the couple’s disagreement. Deputy Fields relocated to Alba, where the woman’s car was found and observed two holes, one large and one small, in one of the tires. Fields was later able to talk to the suspect who denied slashing the tire on his mother-in-law’s car. Deputy Austin Cryer took a report of harassment from a woman who stated she was receiving calls from false debt collection agencies. Deputy Jeremy Ragsdale took a theft report from a man who stated a money order for $500 was stolen from his truck’s console. The man advised he believed the money order was taken from his truck while he was at his boss’ residence working. Deputy Dustin Fenlaw took a report of forgery from a man who advised he had discovered that a check he wrote for just over $100 to pay his phone bill had been intercepted, altered and cashed for almost $700 at a retail store in Sulphur Springs.
