Police say the driver killed in a Saturday morning wreck in the Lilburn-Tucker area was speeding away from the scene of a fender bender. Jason Lam, 22, of Atlanta died after losing control of his 2008 Audi R8 near the intersection of U. S. Highway 29 and Pounds Road, according to a report released Monday morning. Moments earlier, a Gwinnett County police officer witnessed Lam allegedly fleeing the scene of a wreck in the Norcross area at a “high rate of speed. The first crash happened on South Norcross-Tucker Road near Jimmy Carter Boulevard just before 3:30 a. m. A Jefferson man in a Chevrolet Express van was sitting at a stop light when the Audi hit him from behind, according to the report.
