Hell Freezes Over: A Jeep Wrangler Pickup Is Coming - The Cheat Sheet

Speaking with Automotive News earlier this week, FCA chief Serio Marchionne said, “We found a solution that accommodates a variety of other interests to us because of the way in which we can move some product around. ” He added, “It doesn’t take a rocket scientist [to know] that the only way I can move around the Wrangler is to move it into the other Toledo plant. With this latest announcement, however, the Toledo plant will not only receive the necessary tooling to keep the next-generation Wrangler and pickup, but the Jeep Cherokee (the brand’s best-selling model) will be moved elsewhere. It’s an easy move for FCA, as both plants are likely to have room, and are already equipped to manufacture unibody vehicles. In a move that doesn’t happen much in the auto industry, the Toledo’s current unibody assembly line will be retooled for body-on-frame models, specifically the all-new Wrangler and pickup. Once the plant is fully online, FCA also plans on having it shoulder some of the burden from its Warren Assembly plant in Michigan as that plant is in need of updating. Source: www.cheatsheet.com

Toledo officials have recently spent millions to purchase and clean up land in an attempt to convince FCA to keep the Wrangler there. This pick up vehicle will be released in 2017 or 2018 after the next generation Wrangler debuts in the market. History/description: The NSX wasn’t a car anyone bought to have the fastest supercar on their block. So, this wasn’t a car powered for pure speed: it was a car bought because it was cool looking as all heck, had a gorgeous engine, and looked like a Ferrari, and handled like your favourite rail-mounted amusement park ride. Some Ferraris from this era are still priced like real estate, but you can get an NSX on the affordable side of the spectrum nowadays. Best of all, unlike the comparable finicky supercars from its era, the very special Acura NSX isn’t incredibly fussy about tune-ups, parts and maintenance. NSX models came one way: as a two-seater with a mid-mounted VTEC V6 driving the rear wheels. The NSX was a hard-topped coupe, while the NSX-T had a removable targa top. Special versions of the NSX got further upgrades to power output. Tires, brake pads, brake rotors and the clutch on a used NSX should all be presumed to be in need of replacement until the shopper and / or his mechanic confirm otherwise.
