Exterior of the item is in very good condition, but it IS over 20years old. There are no major scratches or unreasonable wear, all the switches and buttons seem to have the proper resistance when pushing on them. Mounting clips appear to be fine, it just pops into place.
It is Gray and came out of a 1999 Lexus LX470. It is the same part as in a Land Cruiser except the Lexus interior Gray color may be a little darker than the gray in the Land Cruiser. Up overhead it should not be noticeable though.
Damage # 1: There is a black electronics box visible in the picture, this is the homelink controller box. The wire coming from it has been cut right at the end of the electronic box. It would not be possible to splice it without taking the electronic box apart. If you can re-use YOUR homelink controller box, then that clips/screws right in and solves that problem. If you don't need the homelink controller then that is irrelevant as well.
Damage # 2: To the side of the above homelink controller box there is usually a large metal clip that is screwed in to two mounts. The clip is gone and the mounts are broken off. However there is still enough "meat" to screw into if you can move your existing metal clip over and attach it.
