There's plenty of power for driving at any reasonable speed with the truck filled to at least half it's payload capacity, and it seems to be disproportionately efficient at lower speeds. NASHVILLE -- Mercedes-Benz's plan to sell pickups in world markets will help Nissan improve its Latin American market share, Nissan's regional chief says. Thanks to Mercedes' need for locally built pickups, Nissan can justify investing $600 million to create its first Argentine assembly line -- an operation that will support Nissan sales around South America, says Jose Luis Valls, Nissan Latin... Nissan will build the assembly line at a factory owned by its alliance partner, Renault SA, and will produce a version of the midsize Frontier pickup for itself, Mercedes and Renault -- with each receiving a unique design. "Latin America is very big on pickups, and particularly one-ton pickups. Nissan will be able to step up marketing in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Peru and other Latin American markets, Valls says. But increasing Nissan's penetration in some markets will be tough. In other Latin American countries, tariffs and import limits have played havoc with automakers' efforts to import vehicles built in Mexico. "This new factory investment is a key part of our Latin American strategy," Valls says. Valls aims to contribute to Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn's goal of an 8 percent global market share by March 2017. I see a lot of trucks with lift kits and 38" tires and they NEVER take them off-road and they slow down to a stop going over mild speed bumps or a high curb in parking lots. Half of the pickup drivers out there can't drive a pickup the way they have to go into the other lane to make wide turns and take 3 tries to get into a parking spot that you can park a semi truck into. I do think the inches of lift given would be for a live axle setup on both ends. If you give too much lift with IFS you'll not make a better off roader. Pro Crap lifts, it's much cheaper to buy a stock truck and do all the modifications yourself. I've never had any issues at the dealership, my truck with a 7" lift with 37s and it is still "LEGAL" in accordance with my states lift laws (bumper height, headlight height, tail light height, etc) based on GVWR. My 2 cracked windshields were rejected under warranty cause I take my truck off-road and my truck has the appearance of being off -road with the mud and tree branches stuck in the frame. You can modify your truck to make it look like an off-road truck but you can't take it off-road to keep the warranty.
