Brown sentenced Beisley on Tuesday to nearly six years in prison for his role in the robberies, which concluded at the Chase Bank in Wood Village shortly before closing time on Nov. Beisley armed himself with demand notes, not firearms, and his first crime – at Gresham's Chase Bank on the 16 of November – began with failure. The following afternoon, he walked into US Bank inside a Safeway in Southeast Portland and told a teller, "I'd like to make a withdrawal. The driver of the other car, clearly perturbed, followed the Honda to Southeast Bush Street, where Beisley parked in a driveway and jumped out. "Sorry," said Beisley, launching himself into the passenger seat of his black 1991 Lexus LS 400 , which was reportedly driven by a woman. Witnesses took down the Lexus' tag number. The day after that score, Beasley walked into Chase Bank inside a Fred Meyer store in Happy Valley. Beisley presented his demand note and made off with $3,616, screeching away from the grocery's entrance in a black Honda Accord. 19, investigators were certain their suspect was Beisley and that the Lexus, purchased for $1,200 a couple of months earlier through Speed's Auto Auction, was insured in Beisley's name.
