However, despite its many foibles, there are a few bright spots in the makeup of the Lincoln LS: Its 3,700-lb girth is well distributed and all the power from its stock 3. 0L V6 engine is sent to the rear wheels. Sounds like the making of a half-decent project car to us. And that’s exactly what we have here: A tenacious hero who’s currently in the process of swapping out the V6 for a more potent 4. 8L LS V8. The owner even went to the trouble of swapping... According to LSXTV , the owner also plans to check a few choice upgrades at the 4. 8L V8 like a C6 Z06 camshaft , LS1 intake manifold, GTO oil pan, plus a few other components from a ’04-’06 Pontiac GTO. Three teenage boys killed in car crash at Metropark - Detroit Free Press

Three teenage boys were killed and two others injured in a single motor vehicle accident at Stony Creek Metropark Friday evening after the car crashed through a guard rail, rolled over and went into the river. Macomb County Sheriff Anthony Wickersham said the accident happened around 6:15 p. m. when the five teens, all either 17 or 18 years of age, were in the 2008 Jaguar S type vehicle, which was traveling at a high rate of speed. The Friday evening crash terrified onlookers who had been expecting a relaxing evening in the 4,400-acre park. "(The car was) going westbound on the inner parkway road when it crossed the lane, struck a guard rail, went down and rolled over and went through a fence and ended up in the Stony Creek river," Wickersham said. "Four of the individuals in that car were ejected, one was belted in. Of those individuals, two were transported to a local hospital and are being treated. The teen who was belted in the vehicle had to be rescued from the water by firefighters, Wickersham said. All five boys are believed to be Macomb County residents but the names of the youths are not being released at this point, Wickersham said, because families have yet to be notified. it's unclear if it will open by the morning, said authorities.
