City staff has been given the official go ahead by the City Council to work with skatepark advocates on the construction of a skatepark in Sylvan Park. Members of Friends of Redlands Skatepark, or FORS, during Tuesday’s City Council meeting presented their plans to raise funds to construct a park, which is estimated to cost $500,000 to $600,000. The City Council in 2013 allocated $200,000 in... “Our project vision is to create a safe and city-sanctioned community space for riders of all levels serving not only our community but with aspirations to become a destination park for individuals from all over the region,” said Maureen Perez,... The park will be a permanent concrete facility, preferably built in a single phase, but with the possibility of phasing that is contingent upon fundraising, Perez said. Drama is Okay, but Keep Things Lighthearted Old-school reverse harems were often fraught with problems. Take the incredibly successful comedies like Ouran largely avoid this by not letting things get that serious in the first place. Ouran definitely has drama, but it nails its tonal shifts better than most anime comedies, regardless of genre. The guys in the Host Club have some serious family issues. Still, we never see much of it directly, as the show tends to rely on visual metaphor instead, another trick pulled from can get pretty sad or mad sometimes, but what we see is rarely too upsetting to unseat the show's happy, bubbly feel. Their issues are limited to familiar high school drama and some non-abusive family dysfunction. You can come home to these shows and get lost in them after a bad day without feeling overly pandered to, and that's one of the biggest keys to their popularity. Toyota taking orders for Mirai fuel cell vehicle in US - Detroit Free Press

TRAVERSE CITY -- As Toyota prepares to sell the Mirai fuel cell vehicle in the U. S. this fall, there remain few hydrogen stations to fill the car's tanks. Toyota has started production of the Mirai in Japan where it is now on sale with a waiting list of customers, said Justin Ward, general manager of the Powertrain System Control Department of the Toyota Technical Center in North America. The car uses hydrogen and fuel cell stacks to generate electricity onboard to power the car. Ward is encouraged that there are plans with First Element Fuels to build 48 state-of-the-art retail stations for hydrogen where you would swipe your credit card and fill your tanks with gaseous hydrogen in less than five minutes. He is hopeful as many as 20 stations will be in place in California by the end of the year and the rest by the end of 2016. He is also hoping a partnership with Air Liquide will result in hydrogen stations in the Mideast next year. The two hydrogen tanks in the mid-size Mirai hold 5 kilograms collectively of hydrogen which fuel the fuel cell stack to produce enough electricity to run for 312 miles. Source: www.freep.com
