26 police received a report of a break, enter and theft to a residence on the 1100 block of Braidwood road in Courtenay. The home owners had been out of the home for about four and a half hours when the break in had occurred. Police received a report of a theft of a pet rabbit from a cage that was in the yard of a residence on the 1500 block of Dogwood Avenue in Comox on the morning of Aug. An unknown culprit had cut the wire on the cage to gain access to the rabbit. During the early morning hours of Aug. 29 police located a parked car with a single occupant seated in the driver’s seat. The results of this vehicle stop were to give the driver a 90 day Immediate Roadside Prohibition from driving, and the vehicle was towed and impounded for 30 days.
