Accord, Civic, and Pilot models to the repair roster. As you might remember, the long, complex system of recalls related to Takata-brand airbags has been marred by regional actions focused primarily on Gulf Coast states. The bad news is, the recall only affects driver-side airbags. The vehicles added to the recall list are the 2001 Honda Accord, 2004 Honda Civic, and 2008 Honda Pilot. As with other recalled models, the airbag systems in those vehicles were designed using ammonium nitrate as a propellant, and that compound can become extremely volatile under certain conditions.
