The modified GMC Sierra 1500 comes from off-road specialist SCA Performance , who teamed up with Lingenfelter Performance last year to turn the Chevrolet Silverado into the Ford Raptor-fighting Reaper. The G2 is an SCA solo project with an entirely different build, and a more subdued style that brand manager Drew Kerley says is more in line with what GMC fans are looking for. For serious backcountry fun, custom seventeen-inch beadlock wheels are available along with a 9,000-pound Warn winch that’s obviously for digging out your friend’s trucks, since the G2 looks pretty unstoppable. That’s especially the case with SCA’s powertrain upgrades, which include a cold air intake, short tube headers, a 3-inch cat back exhaust system, and an engine management system calibration that’s all good for an extra 60 hp with either the... That is the opposite of owner reviews of the GM twins, There is a lot of shaking going on with the front ends at around fwy speeds and all kinds of other quality issues. ANd $55K is a bargain, guess this reviewer resides in Colorado where the green stuff is legal during work and or truck reviews. That vibration thread reminds me of the Ecoboost Sudden Power Loss thread from a few years back. I may be wrong but I don't recall anyone in the media really focusing on that Ecoboost issue either, which was surprising since a lot of people experienced it while towing loads at highway speeds causing potentially dangerous situations. I can't recall a time when there was such a battle with Chevrolet against GM or GMC but here we are. GM/GMC has overstepped their bounds. The MSRP is $55K but GMC will discount them to $45K and you won't touch a bare bones no options crew cab F-150 for under $44K. You can get a bare bones Ram crew cab for $36K. The 2015 F-150 NO DISCOUNTS. Ford is making a mistake their F-150 is so wonderful and going to be so popular that people will pay full price. I also watch what brand of used trucks flood the used market, the more of one brand is a sure signal that nobody likes it.
