Norwalk resident's vehicle sustains major damage in crash - Norwalk Reflector

A Barnes Nursery truck went off the right side of the road and hit three parked cars before coming to rest in a neighbor’s yard against a tree. He went off the right side of Taylor Road, first striking a 2002 Ford Focus owned by June Galvin of Huron. The Ford Focus was pushed into a 2006 Ford Explorer owned by Tracy Nason, of Sandusky. The Focus sustained extensive damage and the Ford Explorer sustained minor damage. The Mack truck continued and hit a 2001 Ford Ranger owned by Nicholas McGuckin, of Norwalk, pushing it into a neighbor’s yard. The Ford Focus, Explorer and Ranger were parked in the front yard of 503 Taylor Road. The Mack truck continued through two yards before hitting a tree and stopping in that yard. Jackson man loses life in US 23 crash - Pike County News Watchman

According to the Chillicothe Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Pearl Canter, 83, of Jackson, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Pike County Coroner. Harris, 53, from Beaver, was reportedly traveling northbound on U. S. 23 in a white 1999 Ford Ranger. According to the Patrol, Canter drove left of center, striking Mr. Harris head on in the northbound lanes. Harris was removed by mechanical means by the Piketon and Waverly Fire Departments, and he was transported to Grant Medical Center for his injuries. The Waverly Fire Department, Piketon Fire Department, Pike County Sheriff’s Office, Piketon Police Department, and Pike County E. M. S. assisted with the incident. Source: www.newswatchman.com

Fatal crash in Seneca County - Sandusky Register

Kristy Lopez, 36, was walking in the eastbound lane of County Road 592 when the accident occurred, according to a news release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol. The accident occurred at about 2:30 a. m. , Sunday, in a rural area northeast of Fostoria and northwest of Tiffin. Patty Gase, 48, of Tiffin, was driving a 1999 Ford Ranger east on County Road 592 and struck Lopez while she walking on the road. Lopez was pronounced dead at the scene and taken to the Lucas County Coroner's Office. The Fremont Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is leading the investigation.
