The Platinum trim is also a new addition and comes with features such as multicontour massaging seats, brushed aluminum and satin wood accents, wood-trimmed and leather-wrapped steering wheel, a leather-covered dashboard, active park assist,... In addition to the new 2. 3-liter turbo-four, a 3. 5-liter V-6 with 290 hp and 255 lb-ft is also available along with the twin-turbocharged 3. 5-liter EcoBoost V-6 rated at 365 hp and 350 lb-ft and are both carryovers from the pre-refresh Explorer. Towing capacity varies depending on the engine chosen, the both the base 3. 5-liter V-6 and the twin-turbo V-6 can tow up to 5,000 pounds while the 2. 3-liter turbo-four is good for up to 3,000 pounds. Off-road, the Terrain Management System on all-wheel-drive Explorers makes it capable in all but the most extreme conditions by tailoring the powertrain according to the type of surface the crossover is on. (WXYZ) - The Auburn Hills Police Department is investigating a serious accident on southbound I-75, just north of Lapeer Road, during the morning rush hour. Police say a 1997 Ford Escort hit the median wall just before 5:28 a. m. Friday morning. An eyewitness told police a Ford Explorer Sport Trac fled the scene southbound on I-75 and was last seen in Troy. Cougars hire Milan Brown as assistant men's basketball coach - Charleston Post Courier

With more than 20 years of coaching experience on the Division-I level, including two prior stints at Colonial Athletic Association-member schools, Milan Brown has been hired as assistant men’s basketball coach at the College of Charleston. Brown, 44, joins head coach Earl Grant’s staff after serving five years as head men’s basketball coach from 2010-15 at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Mass. His previous ties to the CAA were assistant coaching stops at former league member Old Dominion (1995-97) and William & Mary (2000-02). “We are excited about the addition of Milan Brown to our basketball family,” Grant said. Last season, Holy Cross upset No. 25- ranked Harvard to mark the program’s first win over a ranked team since 1977. “I am extremely blessed to have this opportunity to join the College of Charleston basketball program,” Brown said. “I understand the rich basketball tradition that Charleston has and I feel lucky to be a part of it. Coach Grant is a high-character person who brings a tremendous amount of positive energy and passion to this program. Last season, Brown led Holy Cross to a 20-14 overall record en route to its first 20-win season since 2007.
