DNRC gives new engines to Western Montana fire departments - KPAX-TV

The Victor Rural Fire Department, Gold Creek Rural Fire Department, and Philipsburg Fire Department each received a brand new Dodge Ram 5500 engine from the Department of Natural Resources and Conservation. These new engines allow community volunteer firefighters to attack fires with reliable equipment, saving the community money by keeping fires small, while also providing more safety. "I believe the old truck is maybe 350 or 400 gallons and this being a 500 gallon truck, this is huge We get so many fires that we don't have an immediate source so that's probably the biggest thing," said Victor Fire Chief Dennis Pings. The federal lawsuit filed in East St. Louis on Tuesday names Fiat Chrysler, the maker of Jeep, and Harmon International Industries, manufacturer of the uConnect dashboard computers in millions of Chrysler vehicles, as defendants. The Browns own a 2014 Jeep Cherokee. Hackers Charlie Miller of Ladue and Chris Valasek of Pittsburgh recently took control of a Jeep driven by a Wired magazine reporter on Highway 40 (Interstate 64) in St. Louis. Fiat Chrysler is now conducting the first recall to fix the cybersecurity problems highlighted in the Wired article, covering 1. 4 million Jeeps. And experts and lawmakers are warning the auto industry and regulators to move faster to plug holes created by the dozens of new computers and the growing number of Internet connections in today’s automobiles. The average new car has 40 to 50 computers that run 20 million lines of software code, more than a Boeing 787, a recent KPMG study found. Kraft recalls cheese slices for choking risk - Chicago Sun-Times

The Kraft Heinz Co. is voluntarily recalling about 36,000 cases of Kraft Singles cheese products because some of the packaging film may stick to the slices and pose a choking hazard. The company said Monday that there have been 10 consumer complaints to date about the packaging, including three reports of consumers choking. The recall applies to 3-lb. and 4-lb. sizes of Kraft Singles American and White American pasteurized prepared cheese product. 4, 2016, followed by the manufacturing code S54 or S55. No other sizes, varieties or code dates are included in this recall. The products being recalled had been shipped by Kraft Heinz to retailers in the U. S. , Puerto Rico and Grand Cayman.
