DNRC gives new engines to Western Montana fire departments - KPAX-TV
The Victor Rural Fire Department, Gold Creek Rural Fire Department, and Philipsburg Fire Department each received a brand new Dodge Ram 5500 engine from the Department of Natural Resources and Conservation. These new engines allow community volunteer firefighters to attack fires with reliable equipment, saving the community money by keeping fires small, while also providing more safety. "I believe the old truck is maybe 350 or 400 gallons and this being a 500 gallon truck, this is huge We get so many fires that we don't have an immediate source so that's probably the biggest thing," said Victor Fire Chief Dennis Pings.
