Jeep and cellphone searched as Worcester police try to find Plumley Village gunman - MassLive.com

WORCESTER – Detectives investigating the shooting of a mother and her 2-year-old son earlier this month in Plumley Village have filed search warrant affidavits to look through a man's phone who was found near the scene as well as a Jeep owned by... The man whose phone is being searched in the case has been identified as Hector Torres, a 23-year-old city man. Torres has been charged with trespassing after he was found in the parking lot of the City View School not long after the shooting. Robert Iacovelli, Torres' lawyer, said earlier this month that he hasn't received any information pointing toward his client being charged in the double shooting. Police dispatchers began receiving several calls after the shooting about a suspicious male in the area of 22 Gage St. , the search warrant affidavits said. One caller said she heard the man talking on his phone saying, "Macho, Macho, I killed someone. Torres allegedly had asked the other man for a drink of water, court records said. The other man told police he saw Torres hiding behind a stone wall at the school before Torres approached him. Witnesses could not say for certain if that was the Torres was the shooter or the man heard on the cellphone, the search warrant affidavits said. Source: www.masslive.com
