Kia recalls almost 87000 Forte sedans for fire risk - Autoweek
Certain 2012 through 2014 model year sedans will need cooling-fan resistor fix. Kia Motors is recalling almost 86,880 Forte sedans due to fire risk. The fix for this issue will be implemented at the dealership level, and for Forte sedans made between Dec. 27, 2014, the dealer service departments will replace the cooling fan resistor and multifuse unit. Kia dealers will also update the engine control unit software for sedans equipped with the 1. 8-liter engine during this fix. 24, 2015, and Kia Motors will start notifying owners soon.
