An Akron woman has been charged in the July 31 crash that killed 21-year-old Haley Hopkins of Akron. Francis, 22, of Akron, was charged with aggravated vehicular homicide and operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs, according to a press release issued by the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department on Wednesday morning, Aug. Investigators determined Francis was the driver of the 2011 Kia Soul that ran off the right side of Canyon Brook Drive striking a few trees, the release said.
