When the original Lexus RX was introduced it ushered in the premium SUV age. The second-generation arrived in 2004. It not only brought a stronger look and larger dimensions, it brought a bigger engine that consumed less fuel. It also boasted a first — it was the first time a Lexus had been built outside of Japan. Riding on a long 2,715 millimetre wheelbase (up 100-mm over the previous RX), the 330 was also 30-mm wider and 10-mm taller. Head over here for the original Lexus RX 330 listing we’re featuring. Standard features included the usual power toys along with heated power leather front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, a decent sound system with eight speakers, power tilt/telescopic steering wheel adjustment, cruise control, tasteful... It also brought dual front and side seat-mounted air bags, drop-down side curtains and a knee airbag for the driver. The full-zoot ultra-premium package added everything from a power moonroof, HID headlights and rain-sensing wipers to a full navigation system, rear entertainment system and a Mark Levinson sound system.
