Man dead after driving off a bridge on Business 83 in York Township - FOX43.com
York Area Regional Police responded to a fatal motor vehicle accident at approx. 10:46 am this date at the I-83 Business Loop overpass of Powder Mill Road in York Township. A 1999 Lexus ES300 driven by 56 year old Thomas Courtenay of York was traveling northbound on the I-83 Business Loop approaching the Powder Mill Road overpass. Courtenay’s vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a guide rail. The vehicle traveled up the guide rail and onto the wall of the bridge/overpass. The vehicle continued to travel on the top of the wall for a distance until it launched into the air and over the side of the overpass/bridge. Powder Mill Road and the northbound, right lane of the I-83 Business Loop were closed for approx.
