Interstate 10 westbound has reopened at the High Rise after a fatal wreck that happened early Monday morning (Aug. According to the New Orleans Police Department, a 28-year-old man was driving a Mitsubishi Endeavor westbound on I-10 near the Downman Road on-ramp when he crashed into the back of tractor-trailer. The driver of the Endeavor died at the scene and the 32-year-old passenger was taken to a hospital for treatment.
