Jasper — Jasper Police Department arrested Yuliet Fuentes Pena, 33, of Village Court, Jasper, for drunken driving Sunday evening. According to police, they stopped the 1999 Honda Accord Pena was operating on the 1700 block of U. S. 231 after observing it driving left of center and for displaying the license plate improperly. He was charged with operating while intoxicated with a prior conviction within five years and operating while intoxicated endangerment. Huntingburg — The Huntingburg Police Department arrested Roger Alan Warriner, 54 of Indianapolis, Sunday afternoon after being called to the report of an intoxicated man staggering onto U. S. 231. Police were dispatched to the report of a man... After locating the man identified as Warriner, police stated he appeared to be disoriented and had slurred speech. An ambulance was called to the scene to evaluate Warriner who had told police he had diabetic issues. During the exam, a Huntingburg officer asked Warriner for his identification, and when Warriner opened his wallet, the officer saw narcotics in a plastic bag. The officer determined Warriner had 27 Alprazolam (Xanax) and four Diazepam (Valium) in the bag.
