WHEELS AND RIMS STOLEN: During the overnight hours of Aug. 27, unknown suspect(s) stole four wheels and rims from a Nissan Maxima parked in the area of Helen Drive in Indian Head. VANDALISM: During the overnight hours of Aug. 25, unknown suspect(s) used a red magic marker and wrote profanity on the front door of the Children’s Learning Center at the College of Southern Maryland. BURGLARY: Sometime during the month of July, unknown suspect(s) broke into a house in the 11500 block of Hornbeam Court in Waldorf and stole a game system. 24 between 10 a. m. to 12 p. m. , unknown suspect(s) broke into a house in the 430 block of Eagle Court in Waldorf and stole a game system. 24 at 12:30 a. m. , unknown suspect(s) set two trashcans on fire: one in the 100 block of Mattingly Avenue and the other in the 100 block of Woodland Road in Indian Head. ATTEMPTED THEFT: On Aug. 24 at 3:30 a. m. , witnesses observed three males attempting to steal a tire from a parked car in the 500 block of University Drive in Waldorf. The witnesses confronted the suspects who fled upon being detected. Cooney and Officer J. Bottorf responded and located three suspects in the parking lot of a nearby business on Billingsley Road. The males were located in their car which had a flat tire. They were positively identified as the three subjects attempting to steal the tires. Source: somd.com
