2015 Toyota Tacoma pickup functional, refined - Appleton Post Crescent
Continuing its momentum as America's most popular compact pickup truck, Toyota refines its offerings for the 2015 Tacoma. For 2015, Tacoma is now exclusively available in two cab types: Access Cab, and the four-door Double Cab. The rear doors on Access Cab models open to 80 degrees to give passengers easy ingress and egress. Double Cab models offer a roof rack system with crossbars that deploy from the roof rails. Power for the Tacoma is generated by one of two engines: a 2. 7L four-cylinder and a 4. 0L V6. In both engines, variable valve timing with intelligence (VVT-i) provides strong low-end and midrange torque. Four-cylinder models offer a choice between a five-speed manual gearbox or a four-speed automatic transmission. For 2015, Toyota adds a new TRD Pro Series for Tacoma that's off-road ready and willing. Replacing the limited-edition Tacoma Baja Series that was offered for 2014, the 2015 Tacoma TRD Pro Series adopts much of that model's beefed-up body and chassis features, including 16-inch beadlock style TRD alloy wheels with BF Goodrich...
