Prior to the unveil, it appears that the engine details of the new Hilux have leaked during an internal meeting in Thailand, one of the largest markets for the new generation utility vehicles. Indian Autos Blog has reported in the past that the new generation IMVs (Innovative International Multipurpose Vehicle), such as the new Innova , Fortuner and Hilux, would feature new diesel engines.
