HiLux limited edition is Black . but that colour costs more. Toyota has released the HiLux Black Edition, joining the recently announced Holden Colorado Black Edition and the Volkswagen Amarok Dark Label accessory packs. There is just one catch, however: the Black Edition Toyota HiLux costs extra if you want a black one. The white version of the Black Edition starts at $53,240 but a black one will be $550 more because that option is metallic paint. a five-speed automatic transmission adds $2750. It may seem unusual that Toyota can charge more for a black one when it is called the Black Edition but the company says orders are strong and fewer than 1000 will be imported. Changes include unique front and rear bumpers, black sports bar and sideskirts, LED daytime running lights (for the first time on a HiLux), unique alloy wheels, badging and rear-view camera. The Black Edition is a pointer to a super-luxury version of the HiLux that will sit above the current SR5 flagship in the model range when next year's model arrives.
