2016 Mitsubishi Triton prices revealed - Drive
The pricing revisions reflect a deliberate move by Mitsubishi to align the retail price with the price consumers pay at the dealership, in light of several car makers significantly discounting their vehicles. Available in revised GLX, GLS and Exceed specification, the fifth-generation Triton will start from $32,490 (plus on-roads) in double cab form, moving as high as $47,490 (plus on-road costs). The entry single cab model starts from $24,490 (plus on-road costs), while a club cab chassis is available from $35,290 (plus on-road costs). In base model double cab form, the Triton gets as standard: 16-inch steel wheels, air-conditioning, Bluetooth, trip meter, 7 airbags with a five-star safety rating and 'heavy duty' suspension. The GLS model adds 17-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, fog lights, side steps, reversing camera, 6. 1-inch touchscreen, digital radio and dual-zone climate control and 'standard' suspension. The Triton range will be offered solely with a 133kW/430Nm 2. 4-litre four-cylinder turbo diesel engine, paired with either a six-speed manual or optional five-speed automatic transmission, until September.
