Would-be thieves smashed into a jewellery store in a pickup truck in Merthyr Tydfil. Police are appealing for information following the attempted burglary at Jane Allen Jewellers on High Street on Saturday at about 11. 50pm. A blue Isuzu pick up truck was driven into the jewellers shop, breaking through the shutters at the front... Witness appeal Police Sergeant Meirion Collings from South Wales Police said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who was in the High Street area after the attempted burglary occurred, and who saw the Isuzu truck. “After trying to force entry to the jewellery store the driver drove off down High Street in Merthyr towards the direction of Wetherspoon’s. Officers still investigating Officers are still determining how many people were involved in the burglary.
